Have you ever tried using dilators?
Hello there, I was just wondering if anyone here had used dilators and how effective you found them to be? I'm thinking about getting some for myself... The story is that I had a hymenectomy about two months ago because I had a micro-forbate (or whatever. Too lazy to look it up) hymen. After the surgery, my gyno informed be that I was still WAY too tight to consider having sex safely (I had tried, torn myself, and bled about a cup of blood). So, she suggested purchasing a set of dilators. I'm just wondering if they are really that useful or if I should just use a shaved down carrot or cucumber (she suggested that too --- with a condom on top of course).
Thoughts? Experiences? It would really be appreciated. Thank you.
That website, www.vaginismus.com, is the one she gave me. I was just a little put off by the price of it... especially since I'm in Canada and that's in US dollars so I was just wondering if it was worth it.
Dilators are expensive, but worth it. I'm a former sufferer of vaginismus (www.vaginismus.com), and they helped me immensely.
