What in-camera image settings are suitable for photojournalism?
I know some agencies prefer you to not sharpen your images, at least not in camera. What are acceptable settings? Would having high in-camera contrast settings be appropriate? Saturation? Etc
I realise that RAW allows for that, but on a tight deadline assuming one will only be able to shoot JPEG, what settings would be suitable?
Sant, as much as that makes sense, it's not really the truth, I'm certain that Reuters or Getty, pretty sure it was the former, specifies that you images should not have any in camera sharpening applied at all
I usually shoot RAW so no settings are applied in the camera.
With RAW usually any settings are applied to the saved copies, not the original, so you can customize these settings for different uses of the same image.
