Could this have been a heart attack?
I had to have a stress test done, but mine couldn't be done on the treadmill, so they hooked me up to this machine and then told me that they were going to put some stuff in me to make my heart rate speed up and that there would be some discomfort. Right after they did this I got this unbearable pressure on my chest with pain going all the way up into my jaw it made my whole face (teeth and all clench in pain) then it went down my left arm like it was on fire. I was screaming at them to stop it that I was having a heart attack and they said I was fine that they were slowing everything down then.After they did that, everything went back to normal. I have never - ever experienced anything like that in my life.
This has been about 2 years ago and since then I have found out that my Twaves on my EKG are inverted. Does this mean that I could've had a heart attack then? Do I need to get a 2nd opinion from cardiologists from a completely different hospital? I'm confused as to what to do.
you had a chemical stress test. i just had one about 3 weeks ago. i was scared as you were. no you didn't have a mild heart attack..it was, for me the most intense rush i ever had..it was like going downhill at 200 mph without brakes on an out of control rollercoaster. it actually shows that your heart is healthy...don't be scared..they should have explaned things better..they do those tests every day and probably get in a routine and treat it like a job..just watch what you eat and exercise when you can..trust me...
