THE CLOCK IS TICKING...
One more day, and the Run will be here.

I wanted to thank all the committee members for all their hard work.  We wouldn't be doing this if it wasn't for you.  What a great group of ladies - every one with individual talents.

A big 'thank you' to Frank & Tyler for participating, and for being our 'faces' in the media this year.

Good luck to all the runners and walkers.

See you all tomorrow...

Hey Ty it's Steve, do you ever read this anymore????
What an awesome day!!

It was so wonderful to see so many people particpating in the "Run fo Shelly."
It was a very emotional day for Fred and myself to see so many caring people giving of their time and support to make the run such a success.
A heartfelt thank you to the organizing comittee for doing such an awesome job.
Thank you to the sponsors, volunteers, the participants & those who donated so generously to the run. Without you this would not have been possible and Shelly's wish for more funding for research would not be fulfilled.

Gratefully, Fred and Lena
Congratulations!!

Thank-you to Everyone from Tyler and I.
What an amazing day !!!! It takes alot of work and time behind an event, to make it succesful as was today's Run For Shelly. I would personally like to thank a group of Women that took my wife's dream and made it into their reality. The ALS RUN For Shelly committee headed by Giselle and Mary, worked countless hours and took time away from their own family lives to do this in memory of my wife. I know that Shelly looked down on today's event with a smile and a heart full of thank-you's. From the bottom of my heart, Thank's again ladies.

Good Wishes for the RUN
Wishing you much success for the Run for Shelly.
Here's hoping the weather holds, with a little breeze to keep the mosquitoes away.
We're sure Shelly and many others will be supporting you, and all ALS fundraisers, from above!
Good thoughts are with you - Phyllis and Patricia

remembering
As we embark on another event to raise money for ALS research, it is hard not to remember our dear friend Shelly.  It was very important to her that money be raised to research this disease, so perhaps, in the future, mothers would not have to leave their son's.  Shelly would be very happy to see the progress that this run will provide.  She would also be proud of her son for the great year he has been able to have, his strength and spirit have shone to many of us throughout this hard time.  It is hard to believe that is has been a year already since the last ALS walk, Shelly was with us then, as I believe she will be with us this year, giving us a little push from up above to cross that finish line.  Good luck to all the runners, and to the organizers, who have worked so many hours to make this fundraising event possible.

good Luck!!
To everyone involved in organizing this event:

I just wanted to wish you good luck and good weather for, what looks like it will be, a fabulous event to raise funds for ALS Research.

Like you, I have watched my best friend Gail Burgess (age 42) fight this horrible and cruel disease over the past 15 months.  Gail was running in a half marathon clinic when she was diagnosed in March 06.  She is now confined to a wheelchair, has lost the majority of her voice and is contemplating a feeding tube.  Gail has three young children, Ben who is 11, Emma who is almost 9 and little Sam who just turned 7.
Gail has a fighting spirit and tries each day to keep a smile on her face.
You are raising funds and awareness for everyone suffering with ALS and I want to Thank You.  I hope the money you raise will help the University Clinic find a cause and a cure.

Gail's friends have come together as you have to support and rally around her, by making beautiful bracelets that signify HOPE and to also raise funds for research.
I see that Shelly was lucky to have the same level of support and love from her friends.

from one friend to another, best of luck!!

Run in memory of Shelly
My name is Glen Trefanenko and I graduated from Regional High School in St. Paul Ab with Shelly in 1988. I do not run but believe that this is a great cause and inspiration, so I am registered for the 10 km run. I also want to challenge all current and previous students of Regional High, especially the Grads of 88 to participate in this tremendous event. If you are unable to take part in the run or walk, donations to ALS research would be greatly appreciated. I can be contacted at glentref@shaw.ca and it would be great to see fellow grads of 88 out on June 16th to run or walk in memory of Shelly.

Thanks,

Glen Trefanenko
